Scholarship
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11
We know from God's Word that He desires the best for His children. Education can be a key factor in discovering God's plans for your life. Each year the Association helps make it possible for several members to study full-time at a college or university of their choice by the awarding of $1000 grants.
If you have been an insured member of Baptist Life for at least 2 years, you may apply for one of these grants. Any member attending college who meets the program requirements may re-apply each year of matriculation. The deadline for submission of applications is May 31st. Application forms are available beginning in January of each year.

Bible Conference
"But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it — he will be blessed in what he does." — James 1:25
Bible-focused conferences, seminars and family camps are valuable tools that encourage the study of God's Word and its application to our lives. To encourage and support our members’ desire to study God's Word, Baptist Life will reimburse twenty-five percent of the cost incurred to attend one qualifying event per year for a maximum reimbursement of $250. Reimbursable expenses include registration, room and board.

Christian Service Outreach (CSO)
Supporting the outreach efforts of your local church
Jesus commands us to go and make disciples of all nations. Baptist Life is committed to building the Kingdom through the local church. We offer matching grants of $100 to $2,000 each year to assist the funding of outreach ministries within qualifying churches. Our members have chosen to use these funds in many ways. For example:
Bethel Baptist church of Erie, PA sent a team of 14 people to Lima, Peru to work with missionaries Neil and Sandy Heim. They helped paint two church buildings in a very impoverished area, and assisted in a tent campaign. Approximately 200-250 kids and 350 adults attended, and 380 decisions to follow Christ were made.
The Young Men of Excellence at the Grainger Chapel in Kinston, NC utilized their matching grant to continue their program of sending teams to nursing homes to minister to shut-ins.
The Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church of Port Arthur, TX used their matching grant funds at the Willie Carter Community Outreach Center where they provided spiritual counseling, as well as educational and referral services concerning substance abuse and alcoholism to the church members, the faith community, and the general public.

Special Family Benefits
As Christians, we are called to care for widows and orphans. In response to this concern, we have developed several insurance plans that offer financial security for families. Any child insured by Baptist Life or one of its affiliates who becomes orphaned is eligible to receive $100 every month up to child’s age 18.
As a life insurance provider, we also know that unexpected funeral costs can be significant, especially when a new born child has died. Baptist Life provides a $2,500 benefit to member parents if their child goes home to be with the Lord within the first 60 days of his/her life.
Please contact us if you need more information about the Special Family Benefits.
